No. 6 'Eaters Fall to No. 3 Bruins in Final Seconds

IRVINE, Calif. --- The sixth-ranked Anteaters nearly took down the Bruins Saturday evening falling 7-6 at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
Hannah Croghan notched her third goal of the match to tie it at 6-6 with 22 seconds left in the match. UCLA was able to snatch the lead back with just four seconds remaining on a clutch shot by Emily Donohoe.
The 'Eaters (8-5) hung with the Bruins throughout taking the early 1-0 lead thanks to Taylor Morrison and trailing by no more than two the entire match.
UCI's next test will be No. 7 SDSU Sunday at 9:15 a.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
