SEATTLE, Wash. --- UC Irvine opened competition Friday in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championship at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle.

Lacey Surak competed in two events, recording a mark of 15-0 in the long jump and she did not advance to the final in the 60-meter hurdles.

Bridget Devaney recorded a mark of 42-7 1/2 in the weight throw.

A full slate of UCI student-athletes will be competing on the final day Saturday.
