Marisa Bubica Named Anteater of the Week

Irvine, Calif.--- UC Irvine women's volleyball player, Marisa Bubica, has been named this week's Anteater of the Week.
Bubica led the 'Eaters to consecutive victories this last weekend over UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton. Against the Highlanders the redshirt sophomore led the match with 19 kills. The following day Bubica again led the match again in kills with 15, this time against the Titans. She also added three service aces as UCI took down Fullerton in straight sets, 3-0. In the Big West, Bubica is now fourth in kills with 253 overall. After a dominating weekend, Bubica won her first career Big West Player of the Week award, making her the first Anteater to win the award this season.
The 'Eaters next test will be against conference rival Long Beach State at 7:00 p.m. this Saturday at the Pyramid.
