• The Anteaters battled and won their first two Big West games of the year after a 3-1 win over UC Riverside and a 3-0 sweep of Cal State Fullerton.
• The wins snapped a six-match losing streak for the team
• UCI takes on Long Beach State in a Black and Blue Rivalry match this Saturday. Women's soccer opened the rivalry last week with a 2-1 loss to the 49ers.

MARISA BUBICA VOTED BIG WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Redshirt sophomore Marisa Bubica collected her first Big West Player of the Week award and the program's first since 2011 after leading UCI to two conference wins.
• The outside hitter led all players in both matches and combined for 34 kills and four aces.
• Bubica is second on the team with 253 kills and moved to fourth in the Big West in point average with 3.69.

FLEMING VAULTS TO CONFERENCE LEAD

• Shannon Fleming posted 12 block assists in two matches and now leads the conference with a 1.16 block average.
• The senior also fired six aces in the two contests and is second with a .39 average. She leads the team with 32 aces and 95 total blocks.
• Fleming hit a career-best .636 in the win against UC Riverside, converting eight of 11 attempts with just one error. She has hit .400 or better in four matches this year.

SQUIRES HITS 4,000 ATTEMPTS

• Aly Squires logged 58 attempts and became the fifth Anteater to reach 4,000 attack attempts last week.
• Squires has 4,006 attempts and is eight attempts of overtaking Popi Edwards, who totaled 4,013 attempts from 1992-95.
• The outside hitter leads the Anteaters with 257 kills and is fourth in the Big West in kill average at 3.13.
• She is second on the team with 199 digs.

PICKRELL PUTS UP ERRORLESS PERFORMANCE

• Freshman Cassidy Pickrell did not commit an error against Cal State Fullerton, putting away eight of 22 attempts to hit .364.
• It was her second-best hitting percentage this year and in the match against UC Riverside, Pickrell recorded 15 kills and hit .333 (15-3-36).
• Pickrell has hit double-digit kills in six matches this year and she tied a season-best with seven digs.

DOUBLE-DOUBLES FOR ANDERSON

• Shelley Anderson ended the weekend with a pair of double-double matches, posting double-figures in assists and digs.
• The freshman handed out 46 assists and picked up 13 dogs in the win against UC Riverside and then totaled 36 assist and 15 digs against the Titans.
• Anderson is seventh in the conference with an 8.67 assist average.

49ER FODDER

• Long Beach State is fourth in the Big West at 4-3 and have won three straight after beating Cal State Fullerton in five sets and sweeping UC Riverside.
• Delainey Aigner-Swesey leads the team with 258 kills and is third in the conference with a 3.35 kill average.
• The 49ers lead the conference in blocks at 2.61 are third in the league in hitting percentage (.240).
• UCI trails 64-8 against Long Beach State and looks to snap a six-match losing streak against the 49ers this Saturday.
