Marisa Bubica Voted Big West Player of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. --- Marisa Bubica won her first career Big West Player of the Week award after leading the Anteaters to a pair of conference victories over UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton.
Bubica posted the match-high in kills in both contests and averaged 4.86 kills, 1.14 digs and 0.57 service aces per set while hitting .267 (34-14-75) for the week.
She knocked down 19 kills and hit .325 against the Highlanders in a four-set win and followed that with 15 kills against the Titans while acing CSF three times.
The consecutive wins were the first for the Anteaters since Sept. 20 and the honor was the first for the women's volleyball program since 2011.
Bubica and the Anteaters tackle Black and Blue rival, Long Beach State, this Saturday at the Pyramid with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
