LA VERNE, Calif. --- Junior Bojan Hrlec's four goals helped sixth-ranked UC Irvine top Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 15-4, at the Inland Empire Classic Saturday in La Verne. 

Hrlec, a transfer from West Valley College and member of the Croatian Junior National Team, tallied three of his goals in the first quarter when UCI took a 5-2 lead.  The 'Eaters scored five unanswered goals in the second period for a 10-2 halftime lead.

Nick Pfeil was the only other UCI player with multiple goals with two and nine other 'Eaters scored one goal each.

Alex Kazmier had seven stops in goal in the first half and Dylan Peterson recorded six saves in the second half as UCI improved to 5-0 on the season.

John Holland scored a pair of goals for C-M-S.

Earlier Saturday, the 'Eaters topped Occidental, 18-3.

UCI continues action at the Inland Empire Classic Sunday, facing La Verne at 12:00 p.m. and Pomona-Pitzer at 2:30 p.m.
