IRVINE, Calif. --- The 'Eaters started quick and shut down the 49ers' attack with a 9-4 win at Anteater Aquatics Complex Saturday afternoon.

Hillary Estrada (Coronado / Coronado HS) netted UCI's (10-3) first two goals as UCI took the 2-1 lead into the second quarter.

Jessy Cardey (Riverside / Polys HS) got one in the second, her 30th straight game with a goal as UCI led at the half 4-3.

LBSU was unable to score in the third quarter as UCI pulled ahead, 6-3.

Danielle Warde (Huntington Beach / Edison HS) took over to complete the hat trick and the 9-4 win.

UCI will take on Cal State Northridge at 9:15 a.m on Sunday. The match will take place at Corona del Mar High School.
