Anteaters Wrap Up Action at Husky Classic

SEATTLE, Wash. --- The UC Irvine women's indoor track and field team concluded action Saturday in the Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, Wash.
Amber Middleton placed 13th of 48 competitors in the 400 meters with a time of 57.40. Ericka Nowell was 27th (58.55), Kelly Collins 36th (59.94) and Kira Helmer 41st (60.81).
Kelsi Sando finished 15th in her section of the high jump with a height of 4-11 ¾.
Christa Kondru was 36th in the shot put at 37-8 ½ and Lacey Surak finished 38th in the long jump (15-8 ¼).
Sakia Sailinuu led four UCI runners in the 800 meters with a 39th–place time of 2:15.38. Maggie McDuffee was 44th in the 3,000 meters (10:23.90).
UCI competes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championships Feb. 24-25, also in Seattle.
