UCI Hosts Highlanders, Titans In Final Home Matches; Senior Day Saturday

GAME NOTES
- The women's volleyball team will honor seniors Marissa Alvarez, Taylor Smith, Sarah Wilder and Kristin Winkler in a pre-game ceremony Saturday.
- UCI recorded a season-best 111 digs in the five-set effort Saturday against Pacific. It is the second time the Anteaters have hit the 100-dig plateau, following a 107-dig performance against Cal State Fullerton.
- Kristin Winkler set a UCI match record with 36 digs against the Tigers, the second time she has broken the UCI mark this year. It is also Winkler's second 30+dig match this year and she has reached 20 or more digs 12 times.
- Winkler has amassed 2,115 digs and is 80 shy of breaking the Big West career dig mark of 2,194 with six matches left to play.
- Marissa Alvarez picked up a season-high 17 digs against Pacific to go along with 59 assists for her 11th double-double effort of the year.
- Alvarez is second in the Big West in assist average at 10.55.
- Taylor Smith knocked down a career-high 14 kills against UOP and also put up four block assists, a season-best for the opposite.
- Also with a season-high in digs was Aly Squires, who had 22 against the Tigers. Squires, who tops UCI in kills with 368, is second on the team in digs with 270.
- Squires had two double-doubles last week, putting away a combined 28 kills to go along with 32 digs and five block assists.
- Ella Rosenfeld tied a career-high with seven kills against UOP. Rosenfeld also had seven blocks and is currently fourth in the Big West with a 1.19 block average.
- Molly Yoder had a season-best with 16 digs Saturday and is averaging 1.69 digs per set.
ALL ABOUT UC RIVERSIDE
- UC Riverside is 6-20 overall and is winless in Big West games.
- Amanda Vialpando leads the team with 327 kills and a 3.47 average and is second on the team in digs with 255 and a 2.71 clip.
- The Highlanders top the Big West in aces with a 1.41 average with Vialpando leading the team with 30 on the year.
- Emily Borges is second on the team in aces with 28 while Megan Reza is third with 22. All three Highlanders are ranked in the top 10 in the conference in ace average.
- UCI swept UC Riverside earlier this season to improve to 26-11 in the all-time series records.
EYEING THE TITANS
- Cal State Fullerton is fourth in the Big West at 7-5 and owns a 13-12 overall record.
- Kayla Neto paces the team with 430 kills and is second in the conference with a 4.26 average.
- Bre Morland leads the conference in aces with 40.
- Gabrielle Dewberry owns the team-high in digs with 490 and a 4.85 average.
- The Anteaters dropped a 3-2 decision at Titan Gym in October but lead 41-27 in the all-time series records.
