GAME NOTES
- Kristin Winkler is approaching the 2000 dig mark and is currently at 1,918 digs.
- Aly Squires led the team with a combined 24 kills in two matches last week. Squires is averaging 3.88 kills per set and is second with 169 digs.
- Squires has posted double-figure kills 15 times this year and is ranked nationally in kills (66th) and points (74th).
- Ella Rosenfeld did not commit an error against Pacific, putting away 6 of 11 attempts to hit .545.
- Rosenfeld recorded six block assists in two matches and leads UCI with a 1.24 average, tied for second-best in the Big West.
- Molly Yoder picked up a season-high 12 digs against UC Davis, giving her four matches with double-digit digs.
- Shannon Fleming tied a season-best with seven block assists against the Aggies. Fleming is second on the team in blocks at 0.94.
TANGLING WITH THE TITANS
- Cal State Fullerton sits a half-game back of the Anteaters with a 2-3 conference mark.
- The team is led by Kayla Neto, who is averaging 3.94 kills per set. Neto is also second in the Big West in kills.
- The Titans has won two straight, beating UC Davis and UC Riverside in action last week.
- UCI owns a 41-26 all-time series lead against CSF but have lost four straight against the Titans.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- UC Riverside is 5-13 and the year and has lost the last five matches.
- Amanda Vialpando is the team's top hitter with a 3.40 kill average.
- The team has posted 93 aces to the opponents' 72 with Emily Borges firing a team-best 22 to sit third in the conference.
- Borges is also the Big West's top setter, boasting a 10.60 average in her first season.
- The Anteaters also lead this series, 25-11 with the two teams splitting a pair of matches in 2011.
OFF THE BLOCK
UCI alumna, Whitney Pavlik (2004-05) and Nebraska graduate, Jenny Kropp, were named the Jose Cuervo Pro Beach Volleyball National Champions after winning the Huntington Beach Open in September.
