Powers, Bailey Score in Team USA Win over China

MELBOURNE, Australia --- UC Irvine alums Jeff Powers and Ryan Bailey each scored a goal in the USA Men's National Team's 15-4 win over China at the Pan Pacific Championships in Melbourne, Australia, Tuesday.
Nine different players scored for Team USA in the victory.
Bailey has scored seven goals for the American squad, which is 3-0 entering a Wednesday match-up against Australia.
Powers and 'Eater alum Tim Hutten have scored three goals apiece at the Pan Pacifics.
Bailey has played on the last three U.S. Olympic teams, Powers the past two and Hutten was on the 2008 squad. The three alums each earned multiple All-America honors while competing for the `Eaters.
Hutten was the 2008 recipient of the prestigious Peter J. Cutino Award given annually to the top player in the NCAA.
