Tara Eaton has joined the Anteater staff as an assistant coach in 2026.
The defensive specialist started her career at the University of Idaho where she led the team in service reception, was second in digs with 236, third in aces and assists, and received Big Sky All Academic. She transferred to UC Riverside where she recorded 496 digs, 78 set assists and 25 aces, leading her team in 2018 to second in the conference in overall digs, and first in digs in conference in 2017 over her three-year career. The Big West All Academic honoree received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
She would go on to compete internationally in England at Bournemouth University for indoor and beach, receiving a master’s in organizational project management. She led the indoor team to Student Cup Championship and qualified for 5-star events on the UK Beach Tour.
Eaton was prepped at Trabuco Hills High School where she was a first-team All-Sea View League her senior year. The team’s four-time Defensive Player of the Year helped the Mustangs to a 33-5 record in 2015 and the squad’s first Sea View League championship, CIF title, and State semi-final. She was the head indoor and beach volleyball coach at Trabuco Hills High School and coached at Forza1 and Tstreet Volleyball Club where she helped her teams to a handful of medal finishes at USAV qualifiers and nationals.
