• Scored at the Big West Championships with a seventh-place finish in the javelin (133-04)
• Established a then personal-record 134-06 in a top-five showing at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational
• Bettered that mark by five inches the following weekend at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invite (134-11)
• Claimed runner-up honors at the Battle in the OC and took third at the Challenge Cup
