• Established a personal-record 38:02.14 to finish 11th in the 10000m at the Big West Championships
• Previous best was 38:59.05 which she ran at the Beach Invitational
• Notched a lifetime-best 10:39.01 in the 3000m at the Big West Challenge
• Had a season-best 18:10.61 in the 5000m at the UCI Spring Break Collegiate Classic
• Named to the Big West Spring All-Academic Team for the third year in a row

2016 (Junior)
• Finished 14th in the 10000m at the Big West Championships (39:09.97)
• Placed seventh in the 5000m at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational with a career-best 18:09.26
• Came in 10th in the 3000m at the Big West Challenge, registering a season-best 10:39.10
• Ran a career-best 4:59.06 in the 1500m at the Anteater Four-Way Meet
• Received Big West All-Academic recognition

2015 (Sophomore)
• Big West qualifier in the 5000m (17th)
• Ran a season-best 18:25.02 in the 5K at the Bryan Clay Invitational
• That stood as UCI's top mark of the year
• Posted a season-best 10:56.52 in the 3000m for a 10th-place finish at the Big West Challenge
• Earned all-academic honors from the conference and was tabbed a Big West Scholar-Athlete

2014 (Freshman)
• Ran a 3000m season-best 11:05.09 at the Big West Challenge
• Also achieved a season-best 19:27.62 in the 5000m at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational
• Competed in the 1500m at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational and clocked in at 5:13.67

2013 (Redshirt)
• Did not compete

High School
• Graduated from Clovis East High School in 2012
• Won four letters in cross country, track and soccer
• Team captain in all three sports
• Two-time CIF Cross Country State Meet qualifier
• Named the CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Clovis East HS Scholar-Athlete of the Year
• Member and secretary of both the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation

Personal
• Graduate student in the MAT program, earning her Masters in Teaching and Single Subject Credential in Mathematics
• Received her bachelor's degree from UC Irvine in 2016 in both education sciences and psychology & social behavior
• Three-time UC Irvine Scholar-Athlete and consistent member of the Dean's List
• Parents are Nancy and Brian Sharar
• Has two siblings, Jacob and Kendal
