Jessica Perez enters her second season as assistant coach in 2019-20.
Perez comes to UCI after a year as an assistant coach for Seattle University’s women’s tennis team. Last season, she helped coach the team to the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
A four-year standout player at LMU, Perez knows what it takes to be successful and grow in collegiate tennis. As a freshman, she earned honorable mention All-WCC as a singles player and second team All-WCC as a doubles player. Her sophomore year saw her earn second team All-WCC honors as a singles player, and her senior year she was named second team All-WCC in both singles and doubles.
Perez, a graduate of Dana Hills High School, was a four-time All-CIF nominee and two-time All-State recipient, while also being ranked No. 21 nationally her senior year.
