OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE
Four time Olympian (1976, 1980. 1984, 1988)
 
In his first Olympics, Louganis won a Silver medal at the 1976 Montreal Games on the 10-meter platform
 
Louganis was the favorite to win two golds at the 1980 boycotted games and later earned a Congressional Gold medal
 
At the 1984 Los Angeles Games, Louganis won two Gold medals, winning the 3-meter springboard and 10-meter platform events. He posted record scores over his opponents
 
At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Louganis repeated with Gold medals in the 3-meter springboard and the 10-meter platform. He became the only man and second diver in Olympic history to sweep the diving events in consecutive Olympic Games

Enrolled at UCI in 1981 and graduated in 1983 with a major in theatre and minor in dance
