OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE
• Olympic Silver Medalist as a member of the U.S. Men’s Eights at the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles
• Also qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team but did not get a chance to compete due to the boycott
AT UC IRVINE
• Began his rowing career at UC Irvine after competing in water polo, basketball and swimming in high school
• Graduated from UCI in 1975
• Came back to earn his combined MBA and MPA in 1982
• Inducted into the UC Irvine Athletics Hall of Fame in 1984
EXTRAS
• Competed at the World Championships in 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1983
• Won a gold medal with the eights at the 1979 Pan American Games
