AT UCI
- Attended UC Irvine to attain her master's degree in biology
- Originally commenced studies for her PhD in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry before focusing on professional cycling after finishing top 10 in the national collegiate cycling championships
EXTRAS
- Prior to UCI, Neben attended the University of Nebraska on a track and field scholarship
- Neben is a cancer survivor after being successfully treated for melanoma in 2007
- Neben survivted spinal meningitis after being in a coma for three days at age four
