Bojan Hrlec enters his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Anteaters in 2024.
In his third year with the program, he helped the team win their first regular season title since 2000 and coached them through the inagural Big West Championship title for the squads first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1993.
Hrlec played two seasons with the UCI men's water polo team in 2012 and 2013. He graduated from UCI in 2014 with a degree in business administration.Â
Hrlec was named an All-American in 2012 and led the Anteaters in scoring during that season. He was a Dean's List honoree and named on the MPSF All-Academic Team.
Since graduation, Hrlec has been involved in coaching several local water polo clubs and high school teams in Southern California including Cathedral Catholic high school, Del Mar water polo club, La Jolla United water polo club and Patriot water polo club.
Hrlec also has worked as an operations assistant for Luis Vuitton North America and as an associate at Colliers International. He currently resides in Del Mar.Â
