Corey Lenaris

Corey Lenaris is in his third year working with the sprinters and hurdlers at UC Irvine.
Prior to joining the UCI staff, Lenaris served two years (2010-12) as an assistant sprints and hurdles coach at Glendale Community College. During his stint there, he produced a school-record holder in the women’s 400 meters and five junior-college state qualifiers. Lenaris also guided two of his student-athletes to a total of five All-America honors in the 100 and 200 meters.
Lenaris was a four-time Rocky Mountain Conference champion in the 60 and 100 meters from 2006-08 at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo. He was a four-time NCAA Division II national qualifier and placed seventh in the 100m at the 2008 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships to earn All-America honors.
He transferred to Cal State Northridge for his final academic year, earning a B.A. in psychology in 2011.
Lenaris is certified as a Technical Coach with the USTFCCCA Track & Field Coaches Academy and was selected to attend the 2011 Emerging Elite Coaches’ clinic at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
