Mike started working at UC Irvine in February 2019.
His past work experience includes 9 seasons with the Los Angeles Angels organization from 2005-2013, 1 season in the NBA G-League in 2017-2018 with the Maine Red Claws (Celtics), and 1 season with the Windy City Thunderbolts baseball club in the Frontier League in 2018.
Mike earned bachelor of arts degrees in Athletic Training and Health/Fitness from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004, and his master of science degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton in 2017. While at Cal State Fullerton, he was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Big West Champion men’s soccer team as well as for men’s and women’s track & field. He also spent a year working in the industrial athletic training field.
Mike is originally from Inver Grove Heights, MN and currently resides in Irvine, CA. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, following his Minnesota teams, working out, and going to the movies.Â
