Bobby McDonald enters his third season as an assistant coach for the men's water polo team in 2020.
McDonald comes to UCI after serving as the men's and women's water polo assistant coach at Concordia (Calif.) from 2015-18. At CUI he helped with recruiting and training sessions for both teams.
He has also been a coach at Back Bay Water Polo Club since 2011 where he trains youth water polo players ages 8-16.
McDonald, a 2015 graduate from UCI, played four years for the Anteaters. During his time at UCI, the men's team had two top-five national finishes.
He received his B.A. in economics with a minor in mathematics and education from UCI in 2015. He was also named a scholar-athlete in 2013.
In 2018, McDonald earned his M.B.A. from CUI.
