Newport Beach, Calif. – UC Irvine Athletics was honored last week with the Founder’s Award at the annual Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement (PACnet) conference in Newport Beach.
The Founder’s Award, presented by Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement founder Jane Kleinberger, recognizes the great strides by an organization achieved not only in the past year, but since partnering with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. The spirit of the award encompasses an organization that implements new technologies and strategic initiatives, remarkably utilizes a budget to generate revenue and a continued willingness to leverage new services to enhance the fan experience.
“I am pleased to recognize and honor UC Irvine, and their entire staff, with the second-annual Founder’s Award,” said Jane Kleinberger, Founder of Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. “This award signifies the great strides UC Irvine has made under the leadership of Mike Izzi and Phil Wang the past five years since partnering with Spectra. They have implemented new and innovative technologies, driven revenue through thought-leading strategies, and continue to enhance the fan experience in all facets of their business.”
Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement (formerly Paciolan) has 35 years of experience powering more than 500 live entertainment organizations that sell over 120 million tickets per year. As the second largest primary ticketing company in North America, Spectra Ticketing powers many of the nation’s largest college athletics, performing arts, professional sports, and arena organizations. With over 120 college athletics institutions leveraging their technology and solutions, Spectra Ticketing is the market leader in college sports.
“We are thrilled to present UC Irvine with an award that recognizes their entire staff’s continued willingness to go above and beyond,” said Dave Butler, President and CEO of Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. “UC Irvine is a thought-leader in our community, and they continue to make remarkable strides utilizing fan-friendly technologies and services to engage their fans, drive revenue and build loyalty.”
UCI Athletics was recognized for its successes over the last several years by leveraging this technology to initiate innovative ideas to sell tickets, drive donations, manage customer relationships, enhance the fan experience and grow revenue. UCI Athletics has seen growth in each of these areas while also managing costs and is only the second college athletics program to receive this award.
