Women's Basketball Releases 2026-27 Schedule

IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine women's basketball has released its full 2026-27 schedule.
The Anteaters have five non-conference home games, highlighted by the second annual ZotGiving Classic, Nov. 27-28.
UCI will be tested right out of the gate as it heads to Pauley Pavilion to take on defending national champion UCLA in its season opener on Thursday, Nov. 5. The Bruins bring a 31-game win streak into the 2026-27 campaign.
Following their 11th all-time meeting with UCLA, the 'Eaters stay on the road with treks to Northern Arizona (Nov. 10) and Eastern Washington (Nov. 15). UC Irvine then makes its home debut on Wednesday, Nov. 18, when it welcomes Idaho State to the Bren Events Center for a 6 p.m. contest. The Anteaters will be looking to avenge last season's road loss to the Bengals, who finished with a 19-11 record.
After a quick trip to San Diego to face the Toreros (Nov. 21), the 'Eaters will host the ZotGiving Classic. They are scheduled to face Jacksonville State on Nov. 27 and Utah State on Nov. 28.
UCI then hits the road for the Big West's Bold Week, starting conference play at UC Riverside (Dec. 3) and UC San Diego (Dec. 5). The latter match-up will feature the 2025-26 Big West regular-season co-champions as UC Irvine and UCSD both went 17-3 in conference last year.
The Anteaters resume their non-conference slate at home against UTEP (Dec. 12) and New Mexico State (Dec. 14). The 'Eaters and Aggies will play at Concordia University Irvine's CU Arena due to a conflict at the Bren. UCI has one final non-conference road game, traveling to Albuquerque to take on New Mexico (Dec. 18), which is coming off a 22-win season.
UC Irvine's Big West home opener is a New Year's Eve meeting with Black & Blue Rival Long Beach State. The Anteaters will also host Cal State Fullerton to start the 2027 calendar year on Jan. 2.
The 'Eaters are then set to square off against the three newest members of the Big West, paying a visit to Sacramento State (Jan. 7) and Utah Valley (Jan. 9), before hosting California Baptist on Jan. 14. CBU was a 2026 NCAA Tournament team after winning the WAC Championship. UCI will also entertain UC Riverside (Jan. 16), Cal Poly (Jan. 28), and UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 30) in January.
The Anteaters have a road-heavy February with trips to Cal State Bakersfield, CSUN, CBU, UC Santa Barbara, and Cal Poly. They also have three games scheduled at the Bren Events Center against UVU (Feb. 11), Sac State (Feb. 13), and UCSD (Feb. 20).
UC Irvine closes out the regular season at home against CSUN on March 4 and CSUB on March 6.
The 2027 Big West Basketball Championships will be held at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada, March 10-13.
UCI has won three Big West titles in the last four seasons, taking home the regular-season crown in 2022-23 and 2025-26, and winning the tournament in 2023-24. Last year, the Anteaters went 26-7, setting program records in both overall and conference wins. They earned an automatic bid to the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament, marking their fourth postseason appearance in five years. The 'Eaters previously made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, and received back-to-back WNIT berths in 2022 and 2023.
