Mini Plans, Group Tickets Available for Men's Basketball Big West Season

IRVINE, Calif. – The Big West has announced it's 11-week true round robin basketball schedule beginning with Bold Week on Dec. 3-5, 2026.
Head coach Russell Turner's team will start conference action at the Bren Events Center again during Bold Week, hosting UC Riverside (Dec. 3) and UC San Diego (Dec. 5). The Anteaters are 91-17 at the Bren over the last eight seasons, including going 38-7 over the last three.
The Anteaters close 2026 right down the road with a New Year's Eve matchup at the home of their Black & Blue rivals, Long Beach State (Dec. 31) and at Cal State Fullerton to begin 2027 (Jan. 2).
The first home week of 2027 UCI will welcome two of its newest Big West brethren, Sacramento State (Jan. 7) and Utah Valley (Jan. 9) around the anniversary of the 40th year of the opening of the Bren Events Center.
A third straight matchup with a Big West newcomer sends the 'Eaters to the city of Riverside with meetings at California Baptist (Jan. 14) followed by a January 16th contest at UC Riverside.
The Anteaters wrap up games with their local rivals with Cal State Fullerton (Jan. 21) and Long Beach State (Jan. 23) coming to the Bren.
UC Irvine's annual Central Coast trip commences on January 28 and 30 starting at Cal Poly Thursday night and ending up Saturday night at UC Santa Barbara.
Homecoming weekend opens up February with the 'Eaters hosting Cal State Bakersfield (Feb. 4) and then Saturday, February 6 recognizing the 2027 Hall of Fame Class at the Bren Events Center vs. CSUN.
Ahead of Valentine's Day Weekend and Super Bowl Sunday, UCI makes their furthest conference road trip setting out for Utah Valley on Thursday (Feb. 11) before a Northern California expedition to take on Sacramento State (Feb. 13).
The 'Eaters break up their home-away routine with one of each the following week starting at home to face California Baptist on Thursday, February 18. The weekend finishes up at UC San Diego on Saturday, February 20.
UCI's final home week sees them host UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 25) in their regular season matchup as Big West foes before Senior Night on Saturday vs. Cal Poly (Feb. 27). The regular season concludes on the road heading to CSUN, Thursday, March 4, and on to Cal State Bakersfield in the finale Saturday, March 6.
The 2027 Big West Basketball Championship, presented by Credit Union 1, is March 10-13 at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada.
The non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
UC Irvine finished the 2025-26 season with a 23-12 record highlighted by a Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational title, a 10th postseason appearance under coach Turner with an appearance in the NIT, and a 10th Big West regular season title and third in the last four years with a 15-5 mark in conference play.
