UC Irvine Earns WBCA Academic Top 25 Special Mention

ATLANTA - UC Irvine women's basketball has been named to the 2025-26 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
The Anteaters earned Special Mention recognition after finishing the academic year with a team grade-point average above a 3.0. UCI's 13-person roster, which represented eight different majors, combined for a GPA of 3.469 in 2025-26. Individually, six 'Eaters produced seven 4.0 quarter GPAs.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPA inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. To be recognized, a team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach who must be a WBCA member.
This is the third time in the last five years UC Irvine earned WBCA Academic Top 25 Special Mention.
