Anteaters Announce 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

UCI’s 11-game regular-season slate features eight games at the Bren Events Center and four matchups in the Acrisure Series
IRVINE, Calif. -- Coming off its tenth overall Big West regular-season championship and fourth consecutive postseason appearance, UC Irvine men's basketball has announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule.
The Anteaters will play 14 non-conference contests, including three preseason matchups and 11 regular-season games, with eight dates at the Bren Events Center.
UCI gets its first look at the 2026-27 squad north of the border, opening preseason play Oct. 10 with an exhibition against the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in Montreal, Canada. The Anteaters return to Southern California for a scrimmage against Point Loma on Oct. 17 before hosting Cal State LA in their final exhibition Oct. 27 at the Bren Events Center.
The regular season tips off Nov. 3 when UCI welcomes Chapman University to the Bren. The Anteaters remain home for matchups against San Jose State (Nov. 7) and Lincoln University (Nov. 11) before beginning play in the Acrisure Series at Stanford on Nov. 17.
The Acrisure Series continues in Palm Springs, where UCI will face San Diego on Nov. 21 and Loyola Marymount on Nov. 22. The Anteaters close November with a road contest at Seattle University on Nov. 28.
Big West play begins Dec. 3 when UC Irvine hosts UC Riverside at the Bren Events Center.
UCI returns to non-conference action at home against Northern Iowa on Dec. 11 and New Mexico on Dec. 18 before traveling to Honolulu to face Hawai'i on Dec. 20 in its final game of the Acrisure Series. The Anteaters close out non-conference play Dec. 29 against Fresno State at the Bren Events Center.
The Anteaters are coming off a 23-12 campaign in 2025-26 that saw them capture the program's 10th Big West regular-season championship and third conference title in four seasons. UCI also won the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational and earned its fourth consecutive postseason berth with an appearance in the NIT.
Head coach Russell Turner enters his 17th season at the helm in 2026-27. UCI has reached the 20-win mark 11 times during Turner's tenure while establishing itself as one of the Big West's most consistent programs.
