Park Earns Top-20 Finish in Anteater Debut at Oregon State Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. – UC Irvine men's golf finished 10th at the Oregon State Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, highlighted by a top-20 finish from Hogan Park in his Anteater debut and sub-70 rounds from Owen Davis-Piger and Jason Tang.
The 'Eaters finished at one-over 853 (290-286-277), opening with a six-over 290 before improving to two-over 286 in the second round. UCI closed the tournament with its strongest round of the season, firing a seven-under 277. The Anteaters ranked eighth in the field in par-3 scoring (3.15), tied for eighth in par-4 scoring (4.08), and tied for seventh in par-5 scoring (4.82). UCI also recorded 40 birdies, good for ninth in the field, and 181 pars, ranking seventh.
Hogan Park led the way in his Anteater debut, tying for 12th at three-under 210 (70-70-70). He carded a one-under 70 in each round and tied for 10th in the field in par-5 scoring (4.56). Park also led UCI with 11 birdies, tied for 15th in the field, and added 35 pars.
Steven Yang tied for 32nd in his second collegiate tournament, finishing at two-over 215 (75-70-70). After opening with a four-over 75, Yang responded with back-to-back one-under 70s. He tied for 11th in the field in par-3 scoring (3.00) and recorded eight birdies and 37 pars.
Owen Davis-Piger also tied for 32nd at two-over 215 (72-75-68). He opened with a one-over 72 and followed with a four-over 75 before closing with a three-under 68, tying his career low. Davis-Piger recorded seven birdies and led the 'Eaters with 39 pars, tying for 14th in the field.
Jason Tang tied for 48th at four-over 217 (74-74-69). After carding a three-over 74 in each of the first two rounds, he closed with his best round of the season, a two-under 69. Tang added six birdies and 38 pars.
Rayan Ahmed rounded out the Anteater lineup, tying for 63rd at nine-over 222 (74-72-76). He opened with a three-over 74 before posting his best round of the tournament with a one-over 72 in the second round. Ahmed closed with a five-over 76 and finished with eight birdies and 32 pars.
