Anteaters Set for ITA Southwest Regional Championships

IRVINE, Calif. β The UC Irvine men's tennis team travels to Malibu, Calif., for the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, Oct. 15-20.
Max Fardanesh will lead the Anteaters in the main draw singles competition, which begins Friday, while Holland Snell, Alex Guajardo, Yashwin Krishnakumar, Dev Mangat, Greg Gamal, Ruining Huang, Mason Bui and Nathaniel Suh will compete in qualifying singles. Qualifying singles action gets underway Thursday, Oct. 15, with the 'Eaters scheduled to begin play at 9 a.m.
UC Irvine will also be represented in main draw doubles, with first-round matches set for Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 9 a.m. Fardanesh and Snell will pair up, while Guajardo and Mangat will form another duo. Bui and Suh will team up, with Huang and Krishnakumar rounding out the Anteaters' doubles lineup.
The ITA Southwest Regional Championships serve as a qualifying event for the 2026 NCAA Individual Championships, with the two singles finalists and the doubles champion earning automatic bids to their respective NCAA championship events.
