IRVINE, Calif. -Â UC Irvine men's golf starts the spring season at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Somis, California, Feb. 2-3. The two-day tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,008-yard Saticoy Club. Thirty-six holes are scheduled for Monday, while the final round will be contested on Tuesday. Both days are slated for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The Anteaters are part of a 12-team field that features California Baptist, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Seattle U, Southern Utah, St. John's, UC Riverside, University of British Columbia, Utah Tech, Weber State, and tournament host CSUN.Â

FALL RECAP
UC Irvine competed in four tournaments during the fall season. The Anteaters had a high finish of ninth at the Oregon State Invitational. Senior
Rei Harashima was UCI's top individual finisher in each of the last three tournaments, while
Jack Yu led the 'Eaters at the season-opening Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational with a 6-under 210 (69-69-72). Four of the six Anteaters who competed in a fall tournament recorded at least one sub-70 round.
SENIOR LEADER
Senior
Rei Harashima enters the spring portion of the 2025-26 schedule ranked first on the squad with a 71.92 average through 12 rounds. He closed out the fall campaign with a season-best 4-under 209 (69-69-71) at the Ka'anapali Classic. Harashima's best 18-hole score of the year came in his first round at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational where he carded a 68. He has three sub-70 rounds this year and 25 in his career. The three-time All-Big West honoree placed among the top-10 at the conference championships in each of the last two seasons, finishing third in 2024 and eighth in 2025. Harashima has played in every tournament for UCI over the last three-plus seasons, compiling seven top-10 showings and a 72.45 career average (105 rounds).Â
YEAR TWO
Sophomores
Jack Yu and
Tommy Lin are coming off impressive freshmen campaigns in which they both earned All-Big West honorable mention recognition. Yu ranked second on the 2024-25 squad with a 72.48 scoring average, while Lin was fourth at 73.38. Lin (T11th) and Yu (T18th) also placed among the top-20 in their Big West Championship debuts. Owen Davis-Piger played in five tournaments last year, finishing with a 74.87 average. This year, Yu leads the sophomore trio and ranks second on the squad with a 72.78 average. He had back-to-back rounds of 69 to start the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, and finished the season-opening tournament at 6-under 210.
MR. CONSISTENCY
Junior
Jason Tang has played in every tournament since he arrived on campus in 2023-24. Through 72 rounds, Tang owns a 73.75 career average. He has five top-20 showings with a career-best sixth-place finish coming in his collegiate debut where he carded a 10-under 203 at the Nick Watney Invitational in September 2023.
ENTERING THE MIX
Freshman
Kody Li is set for his second collegiate tournament after making his Anteater debut at the Ka'anapali Classic, Oct. 27-29. Prior to his arrival at UCI, Li recorded two FCG victories and three CLPGAQ top-10 finishes. Li, who attended Trinity International High School in Las Vegas, also had an individual win and a pair of runner-up performances in tournaments hosted by the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association (SNJGA).
