IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine track and field has finalized its 2026 outdoor schedule, which gets underway in March.
"This schedule gives us a chance to challenge ourselves every step of the way," head coach Jeff Perkins said. "From the opening meets through the championship phase, we'll be competing in environments that demand consistency, resilience, and high-level execution as we prepare for the Big West and NCAA postseason."
For the fifth year in a row, the Anteaters are set to start the campaign at the Beach Opener in Long Beach, March 6-7. UCI then makes the short trip to Fullerton for the Ben Brown Invitational (March 12-13), and to San Diego for the Aztec Coastal Classic on March 13.
The 'Eaters will close out the month of March with their home debut, hosting the fifth annual Vince O'Boyle Track & Field Classic at Anteater Stadium, March 27-28.
UC Irvine is back on the road in April, starting at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational, April 3-4. The Anteaters will also head to Azusa Pacific for the Bryan Clay Multis (April 9-10), while returning to Fullerton for the Challenge Cup (April 10).
The following week is a busy one with four local meets as the 'Eaters are slated to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays (April 15-18), Bryan Clay Invitational (April 16-18), Pacific Coast Invitational (April 16), and the Beach Invitational (April 17-18).
After a weekend off from competition, the Anteaters will host the Steve Scott Invitational, May 1-2.
UCI is also the host institution for the Big West Multi-Event Championships, welcoming the conference's heptathletes and decathletes to Anteater Stadium, May 8-9. The remainder of the Big West Championships will be held in Long Beach, May-15-16.
Postseason action continues for qualifying individuals and relays at the NCAA West First Round in Fayetteville, Arkansas (May 27-30), and the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon (June 10-13).
