CORVALLIS, Ore. – UC Irvine suffered a 3-0 loss to Oregon State (13-25, 13-25, 21-25) at the Asics Invitational at Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers held the advantage in hitting (.326-.065), blocks (8-3) and aces (5-1).

Senior Kendra Duffey led the Anteaters with seven kills, three digs and two block assists.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Freshman Lillian Lansing totaled six kills and seven digs
>Setter Nicole Feliciano had five kills, 19 set assists and six digs
>Madison Triplett led the team with 10 digs, while Campbell Jensen recorded seven digs
>Middle blocker Ally Bolden matched Duffey with a team-best two block assists to go with two kills
>Oregon State was led by Alana Marrs with 10 kills, hitting .667 (10-0-15)
>Oregon State improves to 4-3, while UCI goes to 3-5

FIRST SET
>Oregon State used four kills and an Anteater attack error to build a 5-2 lead
>A Beaver attack error and kill by Elizabeth Miller closed the gap, 5-6
>Following a kill by Kendra Duffey, OSU outscored UCI 9-1 to open a 19-9 lead
>A pair of kills and a block by Oregon State ended the set, 25-13

SECOND SET
>A 6-1 spurt that included five kills by OSU gave the Beavers the 9-4 advantage
>Four in a row increased the margin to 17-8
>A UCI attack error ended the set, 25-13

THIRD SET
>A pair of kills by Duffey and one by Lillian Lansing helped the Anteaters jump out to a 4-0 lead
>A kill by Madison Triplett was followed by five unanswered to put the Beavers in front, 8-7
>An ace by Nicole Feliciano was a highlight of a 4-1 run by UCI to move the Anteaters ahead, 11-9
>A kill by Feliciano was followed by six Beaver kills and block, 19-15
>OSU led 23-19, but UCI wouldn't go away using a kill by a Lansing and a a Beaver attack error to draw within 21-23
>An Anteater attack error and an Oregon State kill ended the set, 21-25 and the match 3-0
