FIRST SERVE
UC Irvine opens the season at the Wildcat Invitational Friday and Saturday (Aug. 29-30) at Swenson Gym in Ogden, UT.

On Friday, the Anteaters will play twice, taking on Southern Utah at 11:30 a.m. PT then host Weber State at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, UCI closes out action versus Nevada at 10:00 a.m.

STORYLINES
UC Irvine finished the 2024 season 16-14 overall and 10-8, good for sixth in the Big West.

As a team, the Anteaters were projected to finish sixth in the 2025 preseason poll.

UCI is 3-0 versus Weber State, winning the last meeting 3-0 at the Bren Events Center in 2022. Libero Campbell Jensen had 21 digs in the victory.

The Anteaters are 3-0 against Southern Utah and 12-8 versus Nevada all-time.

UCI returns just 428 of its 1,516 kills from a year ago.

UCI's returns setter Nicole Feliciano, outside hitter Kendra MacDonald  and libero Campbell Jensen from last year's starting lineup.

Jensen, a second team All-Big West choice in 2024, was one of seven 2025 Big West Preseason Coaches selections.

Transfers Madison Triplett and Lois Hansen (UC Santa Barbara) and Sydney Rowe (UC Riverside) join the Anteater roster.
