NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
UC Irvine's Andre Henry, Akiva McBirney-Griffin, and Ofure Ujadughele were all featured on the 2024-25 NABC Honors Court as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Thursday morning.

This is the second time in program history where multiple Anteaters have been honored.

The Honors Court highlights the talents and gifts men's basketball student-athletes possess on the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. To be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year, and be a junior, senior, or graduate student.

Henry, the Master of Finance graduate, has placed on the Big West All-Academic Team in 2022 and was honored on the Dean's List in the fall of 2023. The guard averaged 7.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in nine contests during the 2024-25 campaign.

McBirney-Griffin is a four-time Dean's List recipient over the last two years. The forward earned a spot on the Big West All-Academic Team in 2023 after his first season on the court with the Anteaters. McBirney-Griffin graduated with his degree in Social Ecology in June.

Lastly, Ujadughele ended his sixth season at UCI with his second-straight NABC academic honor. The graduate student, who was also a five-time Big West All-Academic selection, received his Masters in Finance a month ago. On the court, Ujadughele set a program and Big West record with 159 games played.
