LA QUINTA, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team carded a final-round 281 (-7) to close out the 2025 Big West Championship among the top three Tuesday at La Quinta Country Club.

The Anteaters and UC Davis tied for third in the 12-team field with identical 54-hole totals of 8-under 856 (290-285-281).

No. 22 Long Beach State claimed its third-straight conference title at 22-under, while Cal State Fullerton was five strokes back in second. LBSU's Krishna Chopraa was the individual champion at 16-under 200 (63-66-71).

Junior
Rei Harashima led the 'Eaters in a tie for eighth. He closed out the tournament with an even-par 72 to bring his three-round total to 4-under 212 (72-68-72). It was his fourth top-10 finish of the season and second career top-10 Big West showing.

Tommy Lin tied for 11th at 3-under 213 (71-70-72).

Jack Yu carded a season-best 67 in Tuesday's final round where he had five birdies against zero bogeys. Yu climbed 20 spots in the standings into a tie for 18th with a three-day score of 216 (74-75-67). It was his fifth top-20 performance of the year.

JJ Nakao also had five birdies on the day to come in at 2-under 70. Nakao tied for 21st at 2-over 218 (74-74-70).

Jason Tang rounded out UCI's lineup in a tie for 34th (73-73-74).
