IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine Athletics raised a record $451,897 dollars from 855 gifts in a 24-hour span during the ninth annual Giving Day.

For the fifth consecutive year, Athletics exceeded its goal and showed an increase of $14,660 from the previous year.

Men's volleyball had a banner day of support, bringing in a department-best $135,811.92 on 153 gifts. The fourth-ranked Anteaters' total was the highest amount in the nine-year event and grew last year's giving day fundraising by 12%.

Men's basketball, men's water polo, men's soccer, and baseball rounded out the top 5 in dollars and number of gifts.

The title of greatest increase from 2024 to 2025 goes to men's golf. The program's $29,965 fundraising effort this year was up 266% from just one year ago. Men's water polo more than doubled their 2024 total.

In total, the UC Irvine campus received 4,275 gifts and raised $2,695,034.

All gifts directly enhance student-athletes through scholarships, strength & conditioning, recruitment, facility improvements, and investments in our coaching staffs.
