FULLERTON, Calif. – UC Irvine rolled to a 76-51 victory over Cal State Fullerton led by the career-high scoring of
Jurian Dixon and the strength of a season-high in blocks.
Dixon went 9-11 from the floor, including 3-4 from long range at Titan Gym Thursday for his game and career-best 21 points. The guard also had three steals and two assists in 30 minutes of action.
The Anteaters swatted a season and Big West-high 11 blocks, led by
Elijah Chol's career-tying five. Four other UCI players recorded a block: Leuchten (3),
Kyle Evans (2) and
Torian Lee (1).
With the win, head coach
Russell Turner moved into a tie for third in Big West all-time wins joining former UC Santa Barbara leader Bob Williams with 313 and counting.
The Anteaters continue to be a force on the road, notching their nation leading 12
th road victory and 15
th overall win away from the Bren Center this season.
With action in tonight's game,
Ofure Ujadughele has played in 149 career games, the most all-time by any Big West player who has played an entire career in the Big West.
UCI improves to 24-5 overall and 14-3 in the Big West.

"Defense is what we know we can do to separate ourselves from other teams. We've been good on the road because we've had a good defensive mentality. I thought our team had that tonight. We have some dynamic shot blockers.

"Jurian is getting better and better. A lot of attention goes to our other players which allowed him time to step forward and make plays and he is getting better at making them. I'm really excited about the way he defends and makes unselfish plays on the offensive end."

Justin Hohn poured in 18 points, hitting 7-10 from the field and 4-7 from three, tying his career-high for threes in a game. He grabbed four rebounds and totaled three assists

Bent Leuchten recorded his 13th double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Nine of his boards came on the defensive end. The senior was 5-7 from the floor, including a three-pointer and 3-3 from the line.
>Guard
Torian Lee added seven points, recording a three-pointer for his fourth consecutive game
>Forward
Devin Tillis had six points, three rebounds and two assists, while guard
Myles Che added five points, six rebounds and a team-high five assists
>The Anteaters were efficient offensively, hitting 50% of their shots (31-62), including 10 three-pointers
>UCI had a season-low eight trips to the free throw line making a season-low four
>Cal State Fullerton's Kendrick De Luna was the lone Titan in double-figure scoring with 10. Kaleb Brown pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds off the bench.
>The Titans (6-23, 1-16) out-rebounded UCI 41-36. CSUF shot 32.8% from the field for the game (21-64), going 3-16 from beyond the arc (18.8%). They were 6-8 from the line

>The Titans started the scoring then UCI scored seven in a row, the first five on a long jumper and three-pointer by

SECOND HALF
>Cal State Fullerton started with the first six points of the half
>UCI responded with the next 10. Che hit a three from left corner, Tillis had a driving layup down the paint, followed by a layup by Dixon after he stripped the ball on the defensive side and a three-pointer by the guard at 14:44, 53-29
>After not scoring for four and a half minutes, the Anteaters would out-score the Titans, 12-2. Tillis would have a layup then on the break, Che tossed it high for a Hohn layup off the glass then Hohn hit a three off the dribble, Leuchten had a layup and was fouled making the free throw and capped by another Tillis layup, 72-40 (5:48)

>UCI goes to 10-0 when holding the opponent to 60 points or less
>It is the fifth time this season Hohn has recorded four three-pointers
