COTO DE CAZA, Calif. – UC Irvine men's golf is third through 36 holes of the Vanharte Orange County Collegiate Classic at Coto de Caza South Course.

The Anteaters closed out Monday's action at 9-over 585 (298-287). They are eight strokes behind tournament leader UC Riverside (577) and six behind co-host Cal State Fullerton (579).

Freshman
Tommy Lin leads the 'Eaters in a tie for fifth with a two-round total of 1-under 143. Lin was 1-over before firing a 70 (-2) in the second round with three birdies and an eagle on the par-4, 399-yard seventh hole.

Junior
Rei Harashima is also tied for ninth at 145. Harashima entered the second round at 4-over, but proceeded to card UCI's best 18-hole score of the day at 3-under 69 to climb 19 spots in the standings. It was his seventh sub-70 score of the 2024-25 season. Sophomore
Jason Tang sits in 12th with a 146 (73-73).Â

JJ Nakao (151) and freshman
Jack Yu (152) rounded out UC Irvine's 5-count-4 lineup in 29th and 32nd, respectively. In the first round, Nakao eagled the par-5, 555-yard sixth hole.
Yu, Harashima and Tang tied for the team lead with eight birdies each.

The Anteaters' four individuals were led by junior
Yaoting Zou, who was making his season debut. Zou carded rounds of 71 (-1) and 73 (+1) to tie for sixth. Freshman
Owen Davis-Piger opened the tournament with three-straight birdies before closing the first round at 6-over. He then came in under par in the second round with two birdies and an eagle on the par-4, 341-yard 17th hole. Davis-Piger is tied for 26th (78-71).
