IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's tennis team opened the weekend in Northridge, Calif., playing in the CSUN Fall Invitational on Friday.
The Anteaters collected six wins on the first day of the tournament, which is being played in a hidden dual format.
Yen Nhi Huynh starred for the Anteaters on Friday, posting a singles win on the first line and doubles win as Haily Huynh's partner on the second line.
Bella Pitchford and H. Huynh also had successful days. The Anteater veterans went undefeated on the first day of play, winning in both doubles and singles formats against SJSU.Â
Amanda Perez came away with a close win, taking down SJSU's Fantousis in two tiebreaking sets. She continues her momentum from the previous weekend where the senior went 3-0 in singles play for UCI.
The Anteaters resume play at the CSUN Fall Invitational on Nov. 8.
