IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine women's tennis continued competition at the UCI Fall Invitational, facing Westmont in hidden dual competition. The Anteaters competed in singles and doubles action, earning five singles victories and two doubles wins.
In singles competition, Sayuri Parandian opened with a straight-set victory over Thea Donarski, 6-3, 6-4. Cassie Donar also earned a win, defeating Mackenzie Lukin, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). Quin Brady added another straight-set victory, topping Lauren Gee, 6-2, 6-4. Rachel Gee and Lindsay Kim each secured dominant wins, defeating Evelyn Oltmas and Lea Schewiola, respectively, by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores.
In doubles action, Sayuri Parandian and Quin Brady earned a 7-5 victory over Basturo and Su. Lindsay Kim and Paulo also picked up a win, defeating Gee and Lukin, 6-1. Westmont claimed the remaining doubles match, with Min and Li defeating Lindsay Kim and Clovis College's partner, 6-0.
The UCI Fall Invitational features a hidden dual format, with participating teams facing different opponents in singles and doubles throughout the three-day tournament. Competition continues through Saturday, Oct. 31, with matches resuming following UCI's kids tennis clinic.
