STOCKTON, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's golf team saw a 15-stroke improvement in the second round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Friday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

Through 36 holes, the Anteaters are tied for 15th with a 5-count-4 total of 593 (304-289). Tournament host Pacific took over sole possession of first at 37-under 539. San Diego's Ian Maspat (134) held onto the top individual spot but saw his lead shrink to one stroke.

Sophomore
Jack Yu moved up 16 spots on the leaderboard following a second-round 71 (-1). He had a team-best five birdies on the day. Yu is currently tied for 50th with a 147 (76-71).

Rei Harashima (76-72) and junior
Jason Tang (74-74) are one stroke back in a tie for 56th.

Sophomore
Owen Davis-Piger came in at even-par 72 on Friday to climb 17 spots in the standings. He finished day two in a tie for 75th at 150 (78-72). Sophomore
Tommy Lin is also 91st (157).
