IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine had 53 student-athletes named to the 2024 Big West Fall All-Academic Team the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
 
Anteater men's water polo, which defended its Big West regular season title with a perfect 5-0 conference record, led the way with 14 honorees. Women's cross country was also in double digits for the third-straight year with 10 all-academic recipients.
 
Men's cross country saw eight of its nine eligible student-athletes earn the recognition, while men's soccer also placed eight individuals on the all-academic team. Women's volleyball and women's soccer had seven and six selections, respectively.
 
To be eligible for the Big West Fall All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, complete one full year at their member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received and compete in at least 50% of their team's contests. Cross country student-athletes can also meet the participation requirement by competing in the Big West Championship.
