RENO, Nev. – UC Irvine women's indoor track & field set a school record and picked up two event wins to close out the season-opening Silver & Blue Invitational Saturday at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Amelia Trautman combined to take down the Anteaters' five-year-old record in the 4x400 relay. The quartet clocked in at 3:47.41, which was the best time in the 11-team field and in UCI indoor history.

Nyla Baker won the shot put with a toss of 13.89 meters (45-7). Freshman
Pinkie Schnayer, the 2024 CIF high school state champion in the shot put, had an impressive collegiate debut, finishing third at 13.28m (43-7). Schnayer cracked UC Irvine's all-time top-10, coming in at No. 6. Junior
Nadia Combs-Mahone took fourth with a lifetime-best 13.10m (42-11.75), which ranks seventh in program history.

In the high jump, sophomore
Kailah McKenzie cleared an indoor personal-record 1.70m (5-7) to tie for fourth and move up one spot to No. 3 among the Anteaters' career leaders. Junior
Zharia Taylor (1.60m/5-3) and senior
Jazzmine Davis (1.55m/5-1) added PRs, with Taylor's mark ranking 10th in school history. Senior
Jolie Robinson also reached 1.60m (5-3), which was just shy of her best of 1.63m.

In the sprints, sophomore
Halle Sutherland clocked an indoor 200m personal-best 24.33. She placed fourth out of 31 and now owns UCI's second-fastest time. Trautman contributed a top-eight showing in the 400m (58.21).

UC Irvine will continue its indoor season in two weeks when it makes its way back to Reno for the Nevada Invite/Multis, Jan. 23-25.
