IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's basketball team has announced the non-conference portion of its 2024-25 schedule with the Anteaters playing their first four games at home.
 
For the ninth time in the last 10 seasons, UCI will kick off the campaign at the Bren Events Center, entertaining New Mexico State in its opener on Monday, Nov. 4. The two teams will square off for the second-straight year after the Anteaters defeated the Aggies, 61-55, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Dec. 5, 2023.
 
The 'Eaters continue the homestand by hosting Pepperdine (Nov. 7), William & Mary (Nov. 11) and Saint Mary's (Nov. 16).
 
UC Irvine is then on the road for the remainder of the 2024 calendar year. The Anteaters begin the stretch with a cross-country trek to Philadelphia, where they are slated to face Drexel (Nov. 20) and Penn (Nov. 21) on back-to-back days. Drexel was a 2024 NCAA Tournament team after winning the program's third Coastal Athletic Association title last season.
 
The following week, UCI travels to New Mexico to square off against the Lobos (Nov. 27), before making its way to Denver (Nov. 30).
 
After conference play begins with a single game at Cal State Bakersfield (Dec. 5) during The Big West's Bold Week, the 'Eaters head to the Pacific Northwest to wrap up their non-conference slate. UC Irvine will start in Corvallis, taking on Oregon State (Dec. 15), which is part of the West Coast Conference this year. The Beavers are coming off an Elite 8 appearance and a 27-win season. The Anteaters then make the trip to Eugene to face one of the Big Ten's newest members in Oregon (Dec. 19).
 
The defending Big West champion Anteaters have a couple weeks off before Big West play resumes at home against Cal Poly on Jan. 2, 2025.
