IRVINE, Calif. - Fabrice Sene and Ramia Griffin have been added to the UC Irvine women's basketball staff as announced Wednesday by head coach
Tamara Inoue. Sene and Griffin will join the program as assistant coaches.
Â
"I am excited to welcome Fabrice and Ramia to our staff as both are familiar with our team and the Big West," Inoue said. "I believe their experience and knowledge will help us continue to elevate our program and bring more championships back to UC Irvine."
Â
Fabrice Sene served as an assistant coach at UC Riverside from 2014-19. In his first year with the program, Sene recruited Michelle Curry, who was named the 2014-15 Big West Freshman of the Year. He also helped the Highlanders to the 2015-16 Big West regular season championship with an undefeated 16-0 record (23-9 overall). During Sene's tenure, 16 players received All-Big West recognition with four first-team selections.
Â
Prior to his time in Riverside, Sene was a math teacher and girls' basketball coach at Marymount High School (2009-13) and Santa Monica High School (2006-09). He led both programs to multiple league championships and an appearance in the CIF playoffs. Sene graduated from the University of Orleans in France with a bachelor's and master's degree in mathematics.

Ramia Griffin returns to UC Irvine after a one-year stint as the director of women's basketball operations at CSUN. She was responsible for organizing travel, film, scheduling and recruiting for the Matadors. In 2022-23, Griffin served as a volunteer video coordinator for the Anteaters who won the program's first Big West regular season championship.
Â
Prior to UCI, Griffin was the head girls' basketball coach at Estancia High School and St. Joseph's High School, taking both programs to the CIF playoffs. Griffin played basketball at Bradshaw Christian High School in Sacramento and for the Cal Sparks EYBL program. She went on to graduate from Vanguard with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and earned her master's in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia.
