IRVINE, Calif. -- Former UC Irvine women's golfer Kim (Lorenzana) Paez will make her LPGA debut at The Ford Championship at Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, Ariz. March 28-31.
Paez, who received a sponsor exemption to The Ford Championship, was fourth in the 2024 PGA Women's Stroke Play Championship and qualified for the KPMG Women's PGA Championship which will be held June 20-23 at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.
She won the 2023 Southwest PGA Championship, becoming the first female winner in the event's 66-year history.
Paez is a PGA Player Development Director for PING and a PGA Coach at Cave Creek Golf Club's Reed West Academy.
While at UCI, she won the 2008 Big West Individual title and was a member of four Big West Championship teams from 2005-08. The three-time first-team All-Big West honoree competed in two NCAA appearances with UC Irvine in 2005 and 2007.
Paez met with the UC Irvine team earlier this year in Arizona.
