IRVINE, Calif. -- The UC Irvine men's tennis team collected a narrow 4-3 victory over Gonzaga Saturday afternoon at the Anteater Tennis Stadium.

The Anteaters (9-5) saw 6-3 defeats on courts one and two as Gonzaga clinched the doubles point. At No. 3,
Brandon Park and
Matthew Sah were able to record a win as a pair, 6-1.

Rahul Dhokia was first off the court in singles, tying the team score with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Oscar Rashed at the No. 5 position. Â
UCI continued to add two more points to their side to take the 3-1 advantage in the match. At the No. 4 spot,
Andy Nguyen took down Pablo Gomez Galvan, 6-3, 6-2, while
Lawee Sherif earned the 6-1, 6-4 win against Tom Dunlop on court six.
Gonzaga evened the match up with victories at No. 1 and a three-set battle at No. 2. All eyes turned to court three for the pivotal match point.

Rithvik Krishna took the 6-4 set one victory, but Leon Roider bounced back to a set two win, 6-3, forcing the decisive third game. Krishna dug deep to clinch the match for the Anteaters as he earned the 6-1 win in set three.
