MILLBRAE, Calif. – UC Irvine is in seventh place after the first two rounds of the Silicon Valley Showcase held at the Green Hills Country Club.
The Anteaters had a first round 303 followed by a score of 308 on the second and are in seventh place heading into the final round tomorrow. UCI had 20 birdies over the 36 holes, third best among tournament participants.
Sophomore
Kiana Briggs leads the Anteaters with a score of 148, sitting in a tie for 12
th place after recording six birdies Monday. She had a two-over par 73 on the second round.
Senior
Megan Yang matched Briggs with the best round of the day, carding a 73 on the first round and ending the day with a total score of 153 (73-80).
Sophomore
Jasmine Chen is tied for 34
th with a two-round score of 156 (77-79), while junior
Charlotte Ryoo is 50
th at 161 (78-83) and junior
Chanelle Hwang is 52
nd with a score of 164 (88-76).
The tournament concludes tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
