SCORING BREAKDOWN
- First period: UC Irvine came out firing against No. 11 Michigan after their morning loss. Each side saw three scores in the opening period of action to be knotted up, 3-3.
- Bugelli (1), East (1), and Hourigan (1)
- Second period: Both teams kept fighting through, but neither team could escape the offensive pressure of the other. The Anteaters and the Wolverines remained locked up, 6-6.

- Third period: The third period saw more balanced scoring from UC Irvine. The Anteaters saw three more balls reach the back of the net, but Michigan was able to grab the advantage in the game with their four goals to lead, 10-9.

- Fourth period: The two sides remained steady, going blow for blow with each other. Three goals per side let the game stay close, but the extra score by the Wolverines in the third stanza earned them the 13-12 victory.
