STORYLINES
No. 7 UCI is 6-4 overall, splitting a pair of contests against then-No. 15 USC.

UCI beat the Trojans 3-1 at the Bren Events Center then suffered a 3-1 loss at the Galen Center.

In the first meeting,
Hilir Henno and pounded a career-best 29 kills, hitting 568 (29-4-44). His 29 kills are second most in the Big West and third in the country this season. He also tied
Brett Sheward for the team-high in digs with seven.
Maxim Grigoriev also recorded his personal-best 17 kills to go with six digs, two aces and three block assists in the win.

In Los Angeles, Henno once again led the team with 16 kills, seven digs and four total blocks.

Stanford is 7-3 overall after dropping a pair of matches at Hawaii last week.

The Cardinal is on a three-match losing streak, dropping a 3-1 contest to
CSUN before heading to the Islands.

UCI and Stanford met once last season with the Anteaters sweeping the Cardinal in Palo Alto on the strength of nine aces. Henno registered had six aces and 10 kills in the win.

The Anteaters have won the last two outings against Stanford.

BURNHAM FLASHBACK
UCI picked up their first-ever MPSF post-season victory against Stanford in Burnham Pavilion. The 3-1 (27-30, 30-28, 30-24, 31-29) win in 2003 was led by current head coach
David Kniffin.

Hilir Henno's 29 kills versus USC were the most by a UCI player since Carson Clark and Jordan DuFault had 30 in five sets in 2010.

It is the most by an Anteater in a four set match since Jon Steller had 29 in 2008.

Junior
Hilir Henno leads the Big West and is ninth nationally in aces (.561). The lefty is fourth in the country in points (4.94) and sixth in kills (4.05) and hitting percentage (.410).

Henno is third in UCI career aces, six away from tying Michael Saeta for second.

Middle blocker
Connor Campbell ranks ninth in the country in blocks (1.15). He has posted a season-high seven block assists three times this season.
Setter
Brett Sheward currently leads the Big West and is fifth nationally in set assists (10.20). He also ranks fourth in digs (1.58) among Big West players. His career-high 56 set assists in the win against USC ranks second most in a four set match nationally this season.
